<p>Learn about the multiple ways for <a href="https://help.starcitygames.com/selling-cards-to-us" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Selling Cards to Us</a>.</p><p>Approval is required for all our selling options before you either ship or drop-off your cards.</p><div class="warning-callout">Do not ship or deliver anything in person until you have received an email officially approving your sale.</div><div class="tip-callout">We reserve the right to cancel/refuse any purchase of cards at any time, for any reason, without exception.</div><h2 id="approval-instructions">Approval Instructions</h2><p><strong>Sell List Request</strong></p><p>We will send an email acknowledging that we have received your Sell List Request. We will send your approval email within two (2) business days, once we have reviewed and approved your Sell List Request.</p><div class="tip-callout">Final pricing and grading will take place during the in-person review of your cards. We may adjust pricing and/or quantity accepted versus your request prior to approval.</div><p>If you do not see a follow-up email from us within two (2) business days, check your spam folders, then <a href="https://starcitygames.com/contact-buyer/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">contact us</a> if you still have not received an approval email.</p><p>Upon receiving the approval email, prepare your cards or collection for shipment. Check the status of your Sell List Request throughout the process by clicking on <strong>My Account,</strong> then clicking <strong>Sell Requests</strong>.</p><div class="warning-callout"><p>Special conditions apply to high-value individual items and Sell List Requests:</p><ul><li>We may request scans prior to approval to verify conditions of cards valued over $700.</li><li>We may offer term payments on Sell List Requests totaling over $5000.</li></ul><p>Please check your acknowledgment email carefully for full details.</p></div><p><strong>Ship + Sell</strong></p><p>You will receive an email confirmation with shipping instructions after you have submitted the <a href="https://starcitygames.com/ship-sell/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Ship + Sell form</a>. <strong>This confirmation email also serves as your approval.</strong> You may ship your items at your earliest convenience.</p><div class="tip-callout">If your package is not received and we&apos;ve not received any communication with you, your Ship + Sell request will be closed out after 30 business days.</div><h2 id="shipping-instructions">Shipping Instructions</h2><p>You are responsible for all shipping and/or delivery costs related to sending an approved request. Any postage due or customs/import fees incurred upon arrival will be deducted from the total.</p><p>Use a trackable shipping method and properly insure your shipment&#x2019;s contents based on their value. Star City Games&#xAE; is not responsible for any items or packages that are lost and/or damaged while in transit.</p><p>Label the outside of the package with the proper information regarding your sale to prevent your sale from being delayed. Separate and clearly mark contents to ensure they are processed correctly.</li></ul><p>If you need to divide a single request into multiple packages, number each package (e.g. Box 1 of 2, Box 2 of 2). We will wait until all boxes arrive to begin processing the request.</p><p>If your package is scheduled to arrive on a weekend day when our warehouse is closed, the carrier will reattempt delivery on the next business day.</p><h2 id="packaging-guidelines">Packaging Guidelines</h2><p>Following these guidelines will help ensure your collection arrives safely and your Sell List Request or Ship + Sell will be processed efficiently.</p><p>1. Remove all cards from binders, top-loaders, and sleeves (standard-style or inner sleeves, including side-loading or sealable).</p><p>2. Keep all cards facing the same way, in the same orientation (for example: all facing forward and right-side-up).</p><p>3. For Sell List Requests, put the cards in the same order as they are listed on the approved Sell List Request. This will be in the order in which you have entered your cards.</p><div class="warning-callout">Failure to adhere to the above guidelines may result in processing time delays, a <strong>penalty of up to 5%</strong> off the final total, or our declining of the sale outright.</div><p>4. Ensure that all items are packaged safely and securely by packing cards using supplies such as bubble wrap, packing paper, or another flexible material to fill space.</p><div class="warning-callout"><strong>Do not</strong> use regular envelopes, as these are sorted by machines at the Post Office and can result in damage.</div><p>Some packaging container suggestions that work well for Magic cards include:</p><ul><li>Plastic card cases</li><li>Deck boxes</li><li>Fat Pack/Bundle boxes</li><li>Snap cases</li><li>Rowed card storage boxes</li><li>Cardboard trading card boxes</li></ul><div class="hs-table-align-center" data-hs-responsive-table="true" style="overflow-x: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 100%; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><br></div><div class="warning-callout">Plastic bags, rubber bands, or packaging materials with rough surfaces will damage cards. Top-loaders are not recommended due to damaging cards if bent in any way.</div><p>5. Send your cards or collection to us. Please use the correct mailing address based on your sale request method.</p><h2 id="in-person-delivery">In-Person Delivery</h2><p><strong>In-Store Appointment</strong></p><p>For In-Store Appointments, your Sell List Request will not be approved until your appointment time has been scheduled with a Buyer at our Star City Comics &amp; Games retail location. Appointments are available from noon - 6pm Tuesday through Saturday. Your items will be processed during your appointment.</p><p>Alternatively, you may contact us to make arrangements to drop off the contents of your approved Sell List Request or Ship + Sell in person at Star City Comics &amp; Games during the above buyers&apos; hours. Your items will be processed by one of our Buyers. Sell List Requests are processed within five to seven (5-7) business days. Ship + Sell requests take a minimum of five (5) business days for up to 1000 cards. Please see <a href="https://help.starcitygames.com/processing-your-sell-request" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Processing Your Sell List Request</a> or <a href="https://help.starcitygames.com/processing-your-ship-sell-request" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Processing Your Ship + Sell Request</a> for more information.</p><p><strong>Event Delivery</strong></p><p>For Event Delivery, arrive at our Sales Booth during the event&apos;s hours. Requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis; appointments are not available. You will need to remain at the booth while your items are being processed.</p><p>Each Sales Booth appearance will become available as a delivery option one (1) week before the event. We cannot guarantee Sell List prices earlier than this point.&#xA0;</p><div class="warning-callout">All Sell List Requests brought to an event must be preapproved prior to processing. Event submission approval ends at 3 PM ET on the Thursday before an event.</div><p>Please deliver your Sell List Request to a staff Buyer, along with a printed copy of the contents of the Sell List Request and its approval. The order of the cards needs to match the list included in the Sell List Request Submission email.</p>

<p>Star City Games&#xAE; uses a four-tier grading scale for Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, and Flesh and Blood cards.</p><ul><li><a href="#NM" rel="noopener">Near Mint (NM)</a>: Minimal or subtle wear.</li><li><a href="#Played" rel="noopener">Played (PL)</a>: Obvious wear.</li><li><a href="#HeavilyPlayed" rel="noopener">Heavily Played (HP)</a>: Major wear.</li><li><a href="#Damaged" rel="noopener">Damaged (DMG)</a>: Unsuitable for tournament play.</li></ul><div class="tip-callout"><p>Star City Games sells Damaged (DMG) cards only in-person. The <a href="https://starcitygames.com/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">StarCityGames.com</a> website offers cards in Heavily Played (HP) and better condition.</p></div><p><a href="#Signed-and-Stamped" rel="noopener">Signatures and tournament stamps</a> on cards can also affect their grades and pricing.</p><h2 id="how-we-grade">How We Grade</h2><p>We grade a card primarily by evaluating its back side, except for double-faced cards and foils. Star City Games does sell Signed/Stamped cards in person and through third-party platforms.</p><p>Star City Games does purchase Signed/Stamped cards. The majority of signatures and stamps detract from the value of a card.</p><p>If you are <a href="https://help.starcitygames.com/selling-cards-to-us" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">selling us</a> Signed/Stamped cards, please disclose which cards are signed and/or stamped when submitting your <a href="https://sellyourcards.starcitygames.com/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Sell Request</a> so that we can adjust your Sell Request accordingly.</p>

We will notify you by email if there are any signs of damage to the box or other anomalies.</p><p><a data-hs-anchor="true" id="SellList"></a></p><h2 id="how-we-process-your-sell-list-request">How We Process Your Sell List Request</h2><p>Sell List Requests are processed in the order that they are received Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.</p><p>You will receive an email letting you know that your Sell List Request has arrived. Email notifications will be sent to update you as to the status of your Sell List Request, or you may click on <strong>My Account,</strong> then click on <strong>Sell List Requests</strong> to check your Sell List Request&apos;s status, review how your cards were graded, and see adjustments and updated amounts.</p><ul><li>Sell List Requests take five to seven (5-7) business days to process, starting on the business day after you receive your &#x201C;we have received your package&#x201D; email.</li><li>The contents of your package will be verified against your submitted Sell List Request list.</li><li>Your total will be adjusted based on card condition and for any mis-listed or missing/additional cards. We will notify you by email if there are any signs of damage to the box or other anomalies.</p><h2 id="how-we-process-your-ship--sell">How We Process Your Ship + Sell</h2><p>Ship + Sell requests are processed in the order that they are received Monday through Friday, during regular business hours. You will receive an email letting you know that your Ship + Sell request has arrived.</p><ul><li>Ship + Sell requests with 1,000 or fewer cards are expected to be processed within five (5) business days. Every additional 1,000 cards will add one (1) additional day for processing.</li><li>A buyer will review all shipped cards and make an offer for your collection based on current Sell List prices. Individual cards valued at under $1 on the Sell List will be processed at bulk prices.</li><li>A 10% processing fee will be deducted from the total value of your Ship + Sell request. Once the cash-equivalent subtotal is finalized and accepted, that amount of store credit plus the bonus will be added to your Star City Games account.</p><p>When selling in-person, store credit may be issued as a Store Credit Voucher card. If a check is not received due to a mailing information error made by a Star City Games staff member, then Star City Games will reissue the check immediately at no extra cost to the customer.</p><p><strong>Cash</strong></p><p>The Star City Comics &amp; Games storefront and Star City Games sales booths offer cash as a payment option for small amounts.</p><ul><li>The Star City Comics &amp; Games storefront has a cash limit of $200. You will receive a check for any amount over the limit.</li><li>Star City Games sales booths carry a limited amount of cash to each event. Once that amount is depleted, you will need to choose a different payment method.</li></ul><h2 id="travel-appointments-for-stores-and-vendors">Travel Appointments for Stores and Vendors</h2><p>Star City Games buyers conducting appointments away from the Roanoke, VA office do not carry cash or other payment methods. Many spreadsheet programs default to saving as another file type.</p></div><h2 id="upload-your-file">Upload Your File</h2><div class="tip-callout">Accessing the <a href="https://sellyourcards.starcitygames.com/mtg/upload" id="isPasted" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CSV Upload</a> page requires logging in to the Star City Games website.</div><p>On the <a href="https://sellyourcards.starcitygames.com/mtg/upload" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CSV Upload</a> page, select the <strong>CSV File Format</strong> (based on which site created the file), select your file, check the <strong>CSV Settings</strong> to control what the page does if information is missing or invalid, then click the <strong>Start Upload</strong> button.</p><div class="tip-callout"><p>Should you encounter an error, first confirm that the file is in the CSV format. If that does not solve the problem, then <a href="https://contactus.starcitygames.com/buyer" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">contact our buyer team</a>.</p></div><p>If your CSV&apos;s headers don&apos;t match our formatting requirements, you will be prompted to select the headers in your file that match the headers we require. For example, if your CSV file has &quot;Foil/Nonfoil&quot; as a header, select it for &quot;Finish&quot;.</p><p><span style="font-size: 1rem; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: 400;">Uploading a CSV creates a unique upload page. The page will remain accessible until either you select and add the items to your Sell Cart or five (5) days have passed since you last accessed that upload page.&#xA0;</span>You can view your upload pages from <strong>My Uploads</strong> in the Sell List menu.</p><h2 id="make-corrections">Make Corrections</h2><p>On the CSV&apos;s upload page, any items that could not be identified will appear in a red warning box at the top of the page.</p><p>Follow the instructions in the red warning box to resolve the errors.</p><p>To correct an individual item, click <strong>Edit</strong> next to its name. On the pop-up menu, adjust the <strong>Card Name</strong>, <strong>Set Name</strong>, <strong>Language</strong>, <strong>Finish</strong>, or <strong>Quantity</strong> as necessary. Then click <strong>Select</strong> under the correct card.</p><div class="tip-callout"><p>If no items are found when editing an individual item, it either means we do not buy that item or the item does not exist (for example, the CSV lists a card&apos;s Finish as Foil when no Foil version was printed).</p></div><h2 id="choose-items-to-sell">Choose Items to Sell</h2><p>The page will sort your items into two groups based on the price offered by Star City Games&#xAE;. You can edit cards or deselect cards you do not wish to sell before proceeding to the Sell Cart.</p><p><strong>Sell List</strong> items have specific prices and will be listed individually when added to the Sell Cart. The page lists the potential price for Near Mint condition, but Star City Games will purchase items showing wear as well. We will grade the items once they arrive and make an offer.</p><div class="tip-callout"><p>To ensure we can process your request as quickly as possible and to avoid penalties, please sort your items in the order they appear in the cart and keep cards unsleeved.&#xA0;</p></div><p><strong>Bulk List</strong> items sell at a bulk price based on their finish and rarity. If you wish to sell cards as bulk, please sort them based on the finish and rarity categories listed in the Sell Cart. This will help us process your request promptly.</p><div class="warning-callout"><p>Star City Games only purchases English-language cards in Near Mint and Played condition as bulk. Please see <a href="https://help.starcitygames.com/selling-cards-to-us" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Selling Cards to Us</a> for more information.</p></div><p>A summary of your selected items will appear at the bottom of the page.</p><p>Once you have made your selections, click <strong>Add Items to Cart</strong>.
